Gentle manual therapy that looks at the body as a whole.
Osteopathic treatment · Vodice
Osteopathy doesn't look at a complaint in isolation: back pain can start in the pelvis, the foot or the way you breathe. That's why the treatment begins with a thorough assessment of the whole body.
The techniques are mostly gentle — mobilisations, soft-tissue and fascia work — and suit more sensitive guests too.
What the treatment is like
- A more detailed introductory conversation than for a massage
- An assessment of posture, mobility and breathing
- Gentle techniques on joints, muscles and fascia
- A plan: what you can do yourself, and whether it's worth coming back
Who it's for
- For complaints that keep coming back despite massages
- For pain with no clear cause — back, neck, headaches
- For more sensitive guests who don't respond well to rougher techniques
- After old injuries the body still 'remembers'
Frequently asked questions
- How is osteopathy different from chiropractic?
- Chiropractic focuses on the spinal joints and their mobilisation, while osteopathy works more broadly — on the joints, soft tissues and fascia of the whole body, usually with gentler techniques.
- Is the treatment painful?
- No. Most techniques are gentle, and we always adjust the intensity to you.
- How soon can I expect a change?
- Some guests feel a shift right away; for others the effect builds over two or three treatments. After the first assessment we'll give you a realistic estimate.
- Does osteopathy replace a doctor?
- No. For serious or sudden complaints, see a doctor first — and if we notice anything that needs medical attention, we'll tell you and point you there.
