Assessment and mobilisation of the spinal joints.
Chiropractic treatment · Vodice
A chiropractic treatment starts with a short assessment of your posture and mobility, followed by targeted mobilisations and manipulations of the spinal joints — what most people know as an 'adjustment'.
The treatment is performed only by a therapist with the appropriate licence. We work with restraint: no sudden moves and no techniques that aren't right for you.
What the treatment is like
- A conversation about your complaints and a short assessment of posture and movement
- Targeted mobilisations and manipulations of individual segments
- Sometimes an audible 'click' — the sound is harmless and not the goal of the treatment
- Advice on posture and simple exercises for home
Who it's for
- For a stiff back and neck, that feeling of being 'locked'
- For office work and long hours of driving
- For restricted mobility with no clear cause
- Combined with therapeutic massage for a fuller effect
Frequently asked questions
- Is the 'cracking' dangerous?
- The sound is gas bubbles releasing in the joint fluid and is harmless in itself. A treatment doesn't need to include the sound to be effective.
- Do I need a scan or a referral?
- No referral is needed. If you have recent scans (X-ray, MRI), feel free to bring them — they help us with the assessment.
- When is chiropractic not for me?
- With recent injuries, osteoporosis, inflammatory conditions and pregnancy, we choose other techniques or postpone the treatment. We check all of this in the conversation before we start.
- How many treatments will I need?
- It depends on the complaint. After the first treatment we'll tell you honestly what we think makes sense — no selling you packages you don't need.
