Slow, deep pressure that reaches the deeper layers of muscle.

Deep tissue massage · Vodice

The deep tissue massage works slowly and with firm pressure on the deeper layers of muscle and fascia — where chronic tension and knots sit that a lighter massage doesn't reach.

The strokes are slower than usual so the tissue has time to release. It's an intense but rewarding treatment for bodies that have been carrying tension for a long time.

What the treatment is like

  1. A chat about problem areas and how much pressure you can take
  2. Slow, deep strokes with forearms, elbows and thumbs
  3. Focus on knots in the back, neck, shoulders and legs
  4. Advice on water, rest and movement after the treatment

Who it's for

  • For chronic tension that keeps coming back
  • For active people and those who do physical work
  • For guests who find classic massages too gentle
  • For stiffness after long hours at a desk or behind the wheel

Frequently asked questions

Will it hurt?
Deep pressure can be intense, but it should never be unbearable. Tell us straight away if it's too much — we adjust constantly.
Will I feel sore the next day?
Mild muscle soreness for a day or two is normal after deep work and passes on its own. Drink plenty of water.
How is it different from a sports massage?
The sports massage is faster and focused on preparation and recovery around training. Deep tissue is slower and aims at long-standing tension.
Is it suitable for a first massage?
It can be, if you like firm pressure. If you're not sure, start with a Swedish or therapeutic massage.
